WWE Superstars as Game of Thrones characters

So here it is. A song of Ice and Powerbombs! As fans of both WWE and Game of Thrones, you must've been wondering which characters in the realm of Westeros matches with the superstars in the WWE universe. If you think of it, both these worlds have one big similarity, everyone wants to reach and grab the Iron Throne/Brass Ring/WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and in both scenarios, each character has his/her own personality and strategy to reach it.

According to my analysis and observance, here are the characters with striking resemblance in their personalities and methodologies:

1. Vince McMahon/Tywin Lannister

Let's begin with the crown heads of both the worlds. Vince McMahon, the authoritative boss who has extensive experience in the field of professional wrestling, which he uses wisely to run the business. Just like Tywin, his character is bossy, graceful and overbearing towards the whole company. He bluntly makes decisions without caring much about his kin at times. Much like Tywin's death, Vince has stepped aside from his onstage role of the ruthless boss, giving the spotlight to his daughter and son-in-law.

2. Stephanie McMahon/Cersei Lannister

Similar to Cersie, Stephanie is a cunning, smart and bad-ass daughter of the king, who goes to any length in order to get what she wants, or in other words "What's best for business!". Due to their charming looks and graceful personalities, we do not hate these villains, rather love to hate them and enjoy their devilish designs.

And of course, how can we not compare Cersie's infamous #WalkOfShame with Stephanie's mud bath, courtesy of Ms. Vicky Guerrero :)

3. Triple H/ Stannis Baratheon

Yes, the King of Kings has a few similarities with the self proclaimed Lord of the Seven Kingdoms. Both claim to be the the lords and protectors of their own realms. Both have a history of vicious and bloody battles in order to achieve their purpose, be it the WWE World Heavyweight championship, or getting the prestigious title of King of the Andals and the First Men. Just like Melisandre, Triple H has got Stephanie on his back, suggesting him with all the devilish plans in order to make sure what's #BestForBusiness.

4. Seth Rollins/Joffrey Baratheon

Seth Rollins, just like Joffrey Baratheon is someone we all despise due to their undeserving push up the ladder, only because they happen to be friends/grandson to the boss. But at the same time, we have to admit the in ring capabilities of Seth, who is as quick inside the squared circle as the wicked tongue of Joffrey. Time and again, both of them have proved that maybe they do deserve to be on top, and then they deserve to be cocky and disrespectful.

5. Linda McMahon/Catelyn Stark

Both the ladies have a calm, graceful and poised personalities, trying to keep peace in the volatile and unpredictable McMahon/Stark family. They have acted as a glue which sticks together the whole family in both good and bad times. But just like Catelyn's sudden death, Linda McMahon also left the WWE in 2009 to pursue her career in politics.

6. John Cena/Daenerys Targaryen

Although their genders clearly don't match, both the characters have a number of similarities. Both had a rough beginning which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Khalesi had to bear the forceful marriage to Khal Drogo, which later on came out to be quite fruitful for her, while John Cena's rap gimmic which he is still ashamed of is probably the best part of his career according to majority of his fan base. Khalesi has her dragons(and her charming personality), which is her sole powers which she uses to conquer lands. Cena on the other hand has his Cenation, or the huge fan-base of kids who love him and idolize him. But after all these years, we'll agree that both Dany and John have a lot of untapped potential which they are not using. If Dany had better leadership qualities, or a smart adviser like Tyrion earlier, maybe she would be ruling the seven kingdoms today. John Cena's character on the other hand has become stale and boring for quite some time, which he has to innovate and bring something new to the table in order to bring legitimacy to himself and the company as well.

7. Roman Reigns/Jon Snow

Brothers of the night watch, and brother of Sheild, doesn't that sound familiar? Both Reigns and Snow have the charisma and personality of a warrior who never gives up and sacrifices for his people. Both have blood ties with big families, i.e. Anoa'i family and the Starks, although the later one was kinda illicit. Both of them have been loved and hated by their people (or fans). The fate of Roman Reigns is much like Jon Snow's death. In GoT world, Jon's own people including the innocent Olly turned on him and killed him. While in the world of WWE, the same people who were cheering for Roman Reigns in the previous year have started booing for him. Lets see how things change for both of these warriors in the coming times. The rumor has it that both of them may make a strong comeback ;-)

8. Paul Heyman/Tyrion Lannister

"Ladies and Gentlemen! My name is Tyrion Lanniser, and I'm one of the cleverest and most genius masterminds in the seven kingdoms. And yes, I pay my debts!". This is an easy comparison. Both these personalities have the traits of a distinguished chess player, who knows his next five moves before you even took your turn. Both are great as advocates to kings and beasts, and both know how to keep their positions strong by only using the gift of their mic skills. Using this weapon, no serious harm is going to come to these two anytime soon.

9. Brock Lesnar/Gregor Clegane(The Mountain)

The Beast and the Mountain, who are famous for inflicting pain to others and enjoying it more than we enjoy having a freshly baked pizza. Both have been symbols of terror and intimidation for their opponents. Both of them have made a strong return to their respective worlds, and who knows how many more will feel the pain and suffering brought to them by these behemoth beasts.

10. The Undertaker/Nightwalkers

It is not fair to compare the Phenom with just one character, which is why we made his comparison with the infamous Nightwalkers. Both are famous for their undefeated streaks and terrorized by many due to the same magic which they bring in the battlefields, rendering them victorious every time. Rising from the dark side, and appearing only once in years to show their might and glory, everyone in the seven kingdoms and the locker room respects them and thinks a hundred times before throwing a challenge towards these phantoms from the dark side.

11. Daniel Bryan/Ned Stark

Both of them are loved by many, and stand for truth, respect and glory. But both of them have met sudden, shocking and a sad ending. While Ned Stark has been persecuted by the venomous Lannisters, Daniel Bryan had to step outside the squared circle due to his neck injury which may keep him out of action for quite some time.

12. Edge/Khal Drogo

There are a number of similarities between these two warriors. Both have been introduced to their audience as bad guys. But with time, they have won their hearts due to their sheer talent and fighting skills. And in their journey, both have managed to win the hearts of women around them. But sadly, both had an ending which the fans of both these universes never wanted and expected, as both had to leave their respective worlds due to medical conditions, which was obviously quite worse in the case of Khal Drogo.

13. Bray Wyatt/Melisandre

When it comes to evil mind games and using devilish powers and witchcrafts to get what you want, both Bray Wyatt and Melisandre comes to mind. Both of them have the power to cut a powerful promo or speech in order to hypnotize and get inside the opponent's head. They are born with the art of brainwashing, which has helped them achieve their goals in such a short span of time.

14. CM Punk/Oberyn Martell

Having outkast personalities, both Lord Oberyn and CM Punk have won fans around the world due to their speaking skills as well as talent on the battlefield. Lord Oberyn is famous for killing the mighty Mountain, taking the revenge of his daughter. CM Punk on the other hand also has a number of accolades on his shoulder during his successful tenure in the WWE. Unfortunately, both of them had a sad and controversial ending, which fans talk about even today.

15. Shawn Michaels/Arya Stark

Their small size never became a hindrance in achieving what they wanted in life, due to having big hearts. Both HBK and Arya have a passion for the art of fighting, which they have displayed from time to time, overcoming unexpected opponents which are often twice their size. Both of them have followed a way of life which generations will talk about in times to come.

The Beast Vs. The Arrogant SoldOut...Who's the heel here?

So, after a long time, we have a match between two heels at WWE Battleground, who by the way are so good at playing heel that they're cheered more than being booed.

On one hand, we have the beast incarnate, returning back from The Suplex City after a break which he often gets, thanks to his lucrative contract with the WWE. Nevertheless, it is always great to see a real bas-ass brawler come back to the squared circle. But Brock was playing a heel when he left, feuding against Roman Reigns (a fan favorite, at least for a few :-) ) and decimating WWE employees including poor Michael Cole before his short hiatus. Now he has returned to get his revenge on MOTB cash-in opportunist Seth Rollins.

Seth Rollins on the other hand has been successful in playing company's top bad guy, being protected by The Authority, but still managing to showcase his in-ring talents and high flying maneuvers, thus catching the attention of a major portion of WWE fan base even when he's a heel.

So the question is, who's a better heal? Whom do fans love to hate more? And who do you think will emerge as the winner? And most importantly, who's win is best for business :-) ?
